Unifinity builds websites, applications, AI-driven systems and real-time communications. We are small by design and senior by default, and we grow a team around each project.

Why the firm exists

Most businesses run on software that was built for someone else and bent to fit. The gap between what the product does and what the business needs gets filled with spreadsheets, manual steps and people remembering things. We write the software that closes that gap: web applications, mobile apps, back-end systems, and the integrations between them.

The work we are known for is the hardest version of that problem: software that has to communicate in real time. Calling, video, chat and messaging inside a product, or inside a Microsoft Teams environment, built on distributed systems that keep working when a thousand things are happening at once. Most development teams meet this once in a career. We have done it for most of thirty years.

How we work with AI

We build with AI tooling every day: Claude Code and Claude Design, OpenAI Codex, and xAI Grok. It is why a clickable prototype usually exists within two days of the first conversation, why changes land as fast as we can talk them through, and why an agreed feature can ship the same day when the team is free to take it. We bring the same tooling to clients: into their products, into their development lifecycle, and into how their teams work, with the advice and training that makes it stick.

Where the thirty years went

The first computer we wrote programs on was a Commodore 64. The work since has followed communications technology through each of its platforms: PBX and voice networks, Microsoft Exchange, Office Communications Server, Lync and Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, and then the cloud platforms underneath them. Before Unifinity, we worked at Microsoft on Microsoft Teams and Azure Communication Services, the platforms themselves rather than applications built on them.

The problems we find interesting

Software that replaces a process nobody can explain but everybody follows. Products that need telephony to feel native rather than bolted on. Putting AI to work inside an existing platform without rebuilding it. Systems where a call, a message or a meeting has to move between platforms that do not share a vendor. Compliance recording that has to be provably complete. Actor-based systems in Akka.NET that route, track and remember while staying up. Websites that a technical audience does not scroll past.

We are less interested in work where the answer is to buy a product and configure it. If that is the right answer for you, we will say so.

How the team works

Every engagement is led by a principal who does the work. That person scopes the project, writes the design, and stays on it through handover. You do not get handed to someone else after the sale.

For larger builds we bring in partner specialists: engineers, designers and architects we have worked with on previous projects, chosen for the specific problem, and accountable to the same principal. They are not a staffing bench. They are people whose work we have already seen. What stays constant regardless of team size is the lead, the standards, and the fact that the person who made the promise is the person delivering it.
